Summary
In an interactive story, each available choice sends the narrative along a route selected by the creator.
Steps
- Read the passage through to its decision point so you have the context for the available options.
- Review each choice label and any nearby content note; select the option that matches the direction you want to explore.
- Wait for the next passage or chapter to load before choosing again; the selected route can affect what appears later.
- Use the Reader’s available navigation controls if you need to return to the story page or restart a route.
What to expect
- Some stories are linear and have no choices; branching stories may present different scenes depending on earlier decisions.
- A choice changes the story route, not the public story itself, and it does not post a rating, review, or public activity update.
- Creators can test routes before review, but if a published choice is broken, report the story with the passage and choice description.
Troubleshooting
- If a choice appears disabled or does not advance, reload the story once and check whether a required access condition is shown.
- If the destination is missing or clearly unrelated, use Safety & Reporting or reading support and identify the chapter and choice label.
- Do not share private account information or another reader’s route details when reporting a story issue.
