Versions and restoring

Summary

Talevara keeps a small, deliberate story-version set: one current draft, with limited previous and published versions when a story is public.

Steps

1. For an unpublished story, edit its single current draft and use the editor’s manual Save action; there is no sequence of unlimited draft snapshots.
2. For a published story, treat the approved public version as fixed while you make edits to a separate unpublished replacement.
3. Before publishing an approved replacement, review the previous version, current public version, and new draft when those entries are available.
4. If Creator Studio offers Restore for a retained version, restore it to a draft, review the result, and run validation before resubmitting.

What to expect

• The supported maximum is one draft when unpublished, or up to a previous version, the current published version, and one pending edit for a published story.
• Publishing an approved update replaces the public version; older retained history is limited and is not an unlimited backup service.
• Restoring or editing never bypasses manual review, content rules, or a creator’s responsibility to keep labels and routes accurate.

Troubleshooting

• If you need a draft copy, save your own working document separately before replacing the current draft.
• If a version is not listed, it may fall outside the retained limit; contact Creator Support promptly with the story title and version status.
• If a restored route fails validation, use the error to repair the draft and submit it for review only when ready.
