Use the available writing blocks to distinguish dialogue, thoughts, or author-provided context while keeping the story’s reading order clear.

Steps

1. Choose a block type only when it helps readers understand who is speaking or what kind of passage they are reading.
2. Keep the wording meaningful in sequence; do not rely on color, indentation, or visual styling alone to convey essential information.
3. Preview the passage at desktop and phone widths, then read it in order using a keyboard as well as a pointer.
4. Keep maturity ratings and content warnings in the story details; a styled passage is not a replacement for those labels.

What to expect

• Block appearance can differ from the editor, so review the Reader preview before submitting a story.
• Special formatting should not hide or replace words needed to understand a choice or route.
• Only story covers are uploaded in the current service; text blocks are not a way to attach other media.

Troubleshooting

• If a block overlaps text or becomes difficult to distinguish, simplify its content and check the preview again.
• If a keyboard or screen-reader user cannot perceive the block’s meaning, report the editor, block type, and reading order.
• For a public rendering problem, send Creator Support the story URL and the passage title without sharing sign-in secrets.
