Summary
Settings offers three irreversible deletion choices. Read which profile details, drafts, and published works remain before confirming one.
Steps
- Sign in, open Settings → Account deletion, and read the notice describing retained records before selecting an option.
- Choose whether to disable sign-in while retaining everything; erase personal data and unpublished work while keeping published stories; or delete the account and all work.
- For the second option, explicitly choose whether retained stories keep only your public pen name/byline or show “Deleted creator”; full personal-data erasure defaults to anonymization.
- Review the final summary and type DELETE exactly as requested. Submission is irreversible and cannot be canceled.
What to expect
- Option one removes sign-in access but retains profile data and works; it is not personal-data erasure.
- Option two removes personal account data and unpublished work but retains published stories. Keeping a byline preserves only that public credit—not sign-in access or other profile details.
- Option three removes account data and all materials/creations. Safety, legal, support, and security records may still be retained where the Privacy Policy requires it.
Troubleshooting
- If you are unsure which option fits, cancel before submitting and compare the retained-data summary or ask Privacy Support.
- If the deletion form reports an error, do not retry with a different option until you know whether the first request was accepted.
- If you cannot sign in to start the flow, send a Privacy or data request with a safe contact address and the deletion type you intend.
