Summary

Story metadata helps readers decide whether a work suits them and gives Admin reviewers the information needed to review it.

Steps

  1. Use a title and summary that describe the actual work; avoid promises, genre labels, or plot claims the story does not support.
  2. Choose the story’s language and genres, then set its maturity rating and content warnings based on the complete work.
  3. Disclose AI assistance accurately when the editor asks, and check that the public byline and rights information are correct.
  4. Upload only the book cover in the accepted format and dimensions shown in Story Settings; keep the file within the 10 MB limit.

What to expect

  • Metadata and cover changes are reviewed before a new or changed version is published.
  • Only covers can be uploaded in the current service; do not try to attach audio, video, or chapter illustrations.
  • A rating or warning cannot be used to bypass the platform’s content rules or the reader’s age-access choice.

Troubleshooting

  • If validation rejects a field, read the inline message and correct the specific value rather than changing unrelated story details.
  • If the cover fails, verify its file type, dimensions, and size against the instructions beside the upload control.
  • Report a public metadata or disclosure problem with the story URL and the exact field that appears wrong.
